Do you and your band want to record something? Send us a message and a cool demo, and we’ll get back to you!

We are able to provide full service from the demo stage and recording, all the way to mixing and mastering. With our experienced team of engineers, producers and session musicians, we make sure to find the best fit for you and your music.

Every project is different and requires a specific approach. Are you not sure about the amount of time needed for recording or mixing? Please contact us so we can find the best arrangement. We try to keep our prices affordable for indie artists, even though we focus on high-end recording. Having multiple rooms gives us the ability to keep the costs of a project at bay. For instance, you can record drums/bass/guitar in studio A, and do additional overdubs and vocals in studio B or C.

RECORDING

(prices are excluding 21% VAT and based on a maximum of 10 hours including setup, additional hours will be charged separately)

Dry hire

Our studios can also be booked without an engineer. For larger recordings we require the first day to be booked with an engineer to get you started and help setup the session. For the remainder of the project a discount will be applied. An engineer will always be present in the building to assist when needed.

Mics and backline

We have a large collection of keys, drum kits, amps and microphones, all of which are included in the price. Some instruments like piano’s and Hammonds are bound to a specific studio, the rest however may be used in every room. We do advice you to let us know any specific requests, since we cannot guarantee the availability of specific gear due to other bookings and maintenance.

Tuning

Our piano’s are tuned regularly and kept in great shape, however if your music is mostly piano based we advice to get it tuned just before the session. We have a great tech and tuner available near the studio. Additional fee is €75,-

MIXING

With our top notch monitoring and experienced engineers your mix is in good hands! We offer mixing for all kinds of genres, from indie to jazz or rock.

Prices for mixing vary a lot, depending on the amount of songs and quality/complexity of the production. Minimalistic recordings or solo piano cost less time than a full production with lots of tracks. However generally a guideline is €300,- per song.

MASTERING

Are you looking the finishing touch on your recordings? We offer full mastering services.

Mastering per track: €60,-

Mastering per track, for projects recorded or mixed at our studio: €40,-

Studio A: The Playground

Moon Music studio A is our main studio, it’s the perfect place to make a record from start to finish. The spacious rooms, the lively acoustics and the creative atmosphere make for an inspiring place to get your musical ideas flowing. With an extensive instrument and backline collection, and all the classic recording gear available, you have all tools you need right here.

Studio B: The Moon

Studio B is our production and mix room, and is suitable for smaller and more dry sounding recordings. The room was renovated in 2024 by Audioworkx, resulting in fantastic and nearly flat acoustics. Combined with the PSI A-23M and NS-10M monitoring this makes for a beautiful mix and mastering room. The room was designed with the purpose of production in mind, giving the opportunity to work with the artist in the same room and record vocals, upright piano, guitars or synthesizers.

Studio C: Studer Room

Studio C is a mix room and doubles as the controlroom for studio C. Also renovated by Audioworkx acoustics, the room now has a modern feel and great sound to it. The vintage Studer 904 gives you 32 channels of analoge goodness with great clean sounding low noise preamps and beautiful EQ’s. The desk can be used for recording instruments in studio B, or just for running up to 16 tracks through it for stem mixing.

Studio: MAP (Utrecht)

We are Moon Audio Productions a brand new recording studio at the Berlijnplein Utrecht. Ivo Schot and Wouter Bude started MAP in 2022. We focus on recording and supporting artist and song writers.
