Ask For Them
There are albums that are so dense, multi-layered and rich in variety that after the first few listens, you feel dizzy. You have to catch your breath and look around bit by bit, but at some point you have to dive headfirst into the light-flooded interstices. “The Raucous Tide” is the album of a solo artist, but it exudes the collective sound of three meticulously experimental musicians. And it contains so many catchy tunes, jazzy harmonies, choral songs and clever twists that it takes a while to really assign the details and ramifications to individual tracks.
