Studio B: The Moon

Studio B is our production and mix room, and is suitable for smaller and more dry sounding recordings. The room was renovated in 2024 by Audioworkx, resulting in fantastic and nearly flat acoustics. Combined with the PSI A-23M and NS-10M monitoring this makes for a beautiful mix and mastering room. The room was designed with the purpose of production in mind, giving the opportunity to work with the artist in the same room and record vocals, upright piano, guitars or synthesizers.

STUDIO B

The room has a light and open feel to it, and is perfect for long creative days. All the studio’s amps and microphones are available to use, making this a great and more cost effective choice when you want to use high quality gear but don’t need the full setup of studio A.

8 channels or our MCI console’s pre’s and 8 SPL and Manley preamps give all inputs you need. Our 16 channel Studer A80 gives you the option or running your mix through 7,5 or 15 IPS tape, to add some color. Conversion is handled by 16 channels of SPL Madison (also easily connected by 1 USB), and headphone playback is 8 channels of Powerplay. Studio B has an 12m2 iso-booth suitable for vocal recordings or guitar amps. Studio B can be rented in combination with studio C (as a controlroom) for full band recordings. Studio C has a 32 channel Studer console. This is a great alternative for studio A is you want more dry sounding recordings.

Studio C: Studer Room

Studio C is a mix room and doubles as the controlroom for studio C. Also renovated by Audioworkx acoustics, the room now has a modern feel and great sound to it. The vintage Studer 904 gives you 32 channels of analoge goodness with great clean sounding low noise preamps and beautiful EQ’s. The desk can be used for recording instruments in studio B, or just for running up to 16 tracks through it for stem mixing.

We are Moon Audio Productions a brand new recording studio at the Berlijnplein Utrecht. Ivo Schot and Wouter Bude started MAP in 2022. We focus on recording and supporting artist and song writers.
