Daan Oostdam is a musician who continually challenges and improves himself and is renowned for his poetic playing. Simon Velthuis, born in Haaksbergen in 1992, embarked on his cello journey at the age of nine. Prior to enrolling at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, he received instruction from esteemed mentors including Maria Hol, Paul Uyterlinde, and Jeroen Reuling. During his high school years, he was part of the preparatory class at the ArtEZ Conservatorium Zwolle. In addition to his regular instructors, Simon received valuable lessons from distinguished figures like Anner Bijlsma, Pieter Wispelweij, Viola de Hoog (specializing in baroque cello), and Mick Stirling (focusing on orchestral playing). Simon's instrument of choice is an English cello, crafted in London around 1840, generously provided to him by the Dutch National Musical Instruments Fund.

Daan Oostdam and Simon Velthuis, two wonderful musicians whose roads collided, make amazing sounds together though the use of a cello and a piano.
