Ella Zirina (LV) & Gabo Vos (ES)

Ella Zirina and Gabo Vos recently recorded at Moon, with Maarten Hogenhuis producing the session. Ella Zirina is a Latvian-born, Amsterdam-based jazz guitarist, composer and bandleader. After first studying piano, she moved to Amsterdam to study jazz guitar and graduated with highest honors from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She leads her own trio, performs internationally, and has played at venues and festivals such as BIMHUIS and North Sea Jazz. In addition to performing, she teaches jazz guitar at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and has given workshops at conservatories across Europe. Her work is known for its melodic, personal character and focus on texture and timbre. She has released several acclaimed albums, including Intertwined, Unraveler, and Boundless Blue, Sunset Hue.
